97 BIKE CHINCOTEAGUE

October 31, 1997 - Friday Bike Deale, MD

Got up an ran 5.1 miles. Drove to Deale, MD for the scheduled Senior Cyclers 10:00 am Friday ride led by Jimmy Huelskamp. We started the 32.6 mile circuit with 36 riders. It is fairly flat around Deale and pretty easy riding. We stopped at the Happy Harbor marina for lunch for $10. Drove home to Columbia, MD and cleaned up. Drove to Chincoteague, VA with Anne where we net Barry and Carol Nelson and Lew and Kathleen Frain. Went to supper at the Landmark for seafood for $51.81. We all stayed in a large elevated beach house on a canal in Oyster Bay at 5455 Hibiscus in Chincoteague, VA.

November 1, 1997 - Saturday Bike Chincoteague, VA

We biked out of Chincoteague for 27.4 miles in a circuit. Ate lunch at the Island Restaurant for $6.61. We ate Famous Pizza for supper for $16 at our beach house. Stayed at 5455 Hibiscus in Chincoteague, VA for $47 for two nights.

November 2, 1997 - Sunday Bike Saxis, VA

Drove across the causeway to the Eastern Shore and on to Saxis, VA. We biked a 28.3 mile circuit out of Saxis over flat terrain with the Nelsons and Frains. We stopped at a country store for lunch for $2.37. After returning to Saxis, we drove home to Columbia, MD arriving in the late afternoon.
