February 5, 1996 Monday Ski Timberline

It is very cold dropping to -8° degrees overnight. Got up early and drove to Canaan Valley, WV. Skied all day making 21 runs down the mountain. There are few skiers and no lift lines. Ate lunch in Timberline lodge on the slopes for $6.77. Brought frozen meals from home which I heated up in my condominium. Stayed in Condo B8 of the Talheim complex in Canaan Valley for $196.33 for 3 nights.

February 6, 1996 Tuesday Ski Timberline

Ate breakfast food I brought from home. Skied all day making 25 runs down the mountain. Ate lunch at the Timberline Lodge on the slopes for $7.83. Ate supper from food brought from home. Stayed at Talheim Condo B8.

February 7, 1996 Wednesday Ski Timberline

Ate breakfast food I brought from home. Skied all day making 23 runs down the mountain. Ate lunch at the Timberline Lodge on the slopes for $6.83. Ate supper from food brought from home. Stayed at Talheim Condo B8.

February 8, 1996 Thursday Drive to Columbia, MD

Got up and decided not to ski downhill or cross country. Packed up and loaded my car. Drove home to Columbia, MD.

SKI CANAAN VALLEY, WV

February 22, 1996 Thursday Drive to Canaan Valley, WV

Got up and ran 5.1 miles. Waited until after Anne’s class finished at 3:30 then drove to Canaan Valley, WV. Rented the Mountaineer log house at 26 Deer Ridge Road in Timberline in Canaan Valley, WV for $392.40 for 3 nights.

February 23, 1996 Friday Ski Timberline

Got up and ran 5.1 miles in 46:00. Skied Timberline with Anne making 8 runs down the mountain. The lift tickets cost $25. Ate lunch in the Timberline Lodge for $11.62. Stayed at the Mountaineer log house.

February 24, 1996 Saturday Hike Blackwater Falls State Park

Got up and ran 5.1 miles in 45:45. Hiked the Blackwater Falls State Park. Ate lunch at Sarianni’s for $37 with Anne, Kara McQueen, Jason Rolfe and Kevin and Lorraine McQueen. Stopped and bought $16.31 of groceries for supper. Stayed in the Mountaineer log house.

February 25, 1996 Sunday Drive to Columbia, MD

Got up and ran 5.1 miles. Packed up and loaded the car. Drove home to Columbia, MD. At 1:45 pm about 3 miles west of Frederick, MD on Interstate Highway 70 my 1985 silver Mazda 626 turned over 200,000 problem free miles.
