2007 Family Reunion

On Saturday July 14, 2007 Anne and I started the 310 mile drive to Sharon, Pennsylvania at 6:05 a.m. We drove north on US-29 to I-70 west to the Pennsylvania Turnpike exiting north on I-79. We drove west on US-422 before turning north on PA-60 to Hermitage, PA. We checked into room 115 for $99.05 at the Comfort Inn at 11:15 a.m.

We drove a few miles to my niece Dorita's house arriving at the same time as brother Jim (77). Several people were already there including brother Sam (83) who flew in from San Diego with his grandson Tim and sister Ruth (74). Dorita's mom and my sister Pauline (87) was there with daughter Linda, granddaughter Dalynn, great granddaughter Kristin and great great granddaughter five generations. Pauline's son Harold and wife Heidi were there as well as daughter Anita and Bob. Dorita's husband Terry and son Mathew were there as well. My oldest sister's daughters Carol and Sharon with husband Michael and grandson Dillon and wife Mary were also attending. Carol's daughter Laura and Jason along with Jim's grandson James Daniel, his wife and their son James Daniel Lee rounded out the attendees. No one from Jack's, Ralph's or Dave's families were in attendance.

I enjoyed catching up with everyone's life. The food was abundant, varied and very good. I especially enjoyed the banana cream pies nice Dorita made for the occasion.

Anne and I drove home Sunday morning leaving at 8:50 and arriving in Columbia, MD at 1:40 p.m.

Accesses since August 15, 2007.
